The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.
then the LORD God formed the man of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living creature.
You have granted me life and steadfast love, and your care has preserved my spirit.
Does it seem good to you to oppress, to despise the work of your hands and favor the designs of the wicked?
In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind.
as long as my breath is in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils,
But it is the spirit in man, the breath of the Almighty, that makes him understand.
When you send forth your Spirit,[3] they are created, and you renew the face of the ground.
By the word of the LORD the heavens were made, and by the breath of his mouth all their host.
Thus says God, the LORD, who created the heavens and stretched them out, who spread out the earth and what comes from it, who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it:
For the law of the Spirit of life has set you[2] free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.
Thus it is written, "The first man Adam became a living being";[4] the last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
