Jeremiah 8:1

"At that time, declares the LORD, the bones of the kings of Judah, the bones of its officials, the bones of the priests, the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be brought out of their tombs.

And the man cried against the altar by the word of the LORD and said, "O altar, altar, thus says the LORD: 'Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name, and he shall sacrifice on you the priests of the high places who make offerings on you, and human bones shall be burned on you.' "

And as Josiah turned, he saw the tombs there on the mount. And he sent and took the bones out of the tombs and burned them on the altar and defiled it, according to the word of the LORD that the man of God proclaimed, who had predicted these things.

And he sacrificed all the priests of the high places who were there, on the altars, and burned human bones on them. Then he returned to Jerusalem.

and the corpse of Jezebel shall be as dung on the face of the field in the territory of Jezreel, so that no one can say, This is Jezebel.' "

There they are, in great terror, where there is no terror! For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you; you put them to shame, for God has rejected them.

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem, victims of famine and sword, with none to bury them -- them, their wives, their sons, and their daughters. For I will pour out their evil upon them.

The hand of the LORD was upon me, and he brought me out in the Spirit of the LORD and set me down in the middle of the valley;[1] it was full of bones.

Your altars shall become desolate, and your incense altars shall be broken, and I will cast down your slain before your idols.

And I will lay the dead bodies of the people of Israel before their idols, and I will scatter your bones around your altars.

Thus says the LORD: "For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment,[1] because he burned to lime the bones of the king of Edom.
