So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.

If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.

If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin,[3] but now they have no excuse for their sin.

Jesus said to them, "If you were blind, you would have no guilt;[3] but now that you say, 'We see,' your guilt remains.

Though they know God's decree that those who practice such things deserve to die, they not only do them but give approval to those who practice them.

Did that which is good, then, bring death to me? By no means! It was sin, producing death in me through what is good, in order that sin might be shown to be sin, and through the commandment might become sinful beyond measure.

For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them.
