The LORD was pleased, for his righteousness' sake, to magnify his law and make it glorious.

I bow down toward your holy temple and give thanks to your name for your steadfast love and your faithfulness, for you have exalted above all things your name and your word.[1]

I desire to do your will, O my God; your law is within my heart."

With the mighty deeds of the Lord GOD I will come; I will remind them of your righteousness, yours alone.

Your righteousness, O God, reaches the high heavens. You who have done great things, O God, who is like you?

He will not grow faint or be discouraged[1] till he has established justice in the earth; and the coastlands wait for his law.

and behold, a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son,[3] with whom I am well pleased."

If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.

And he who sent me is with me. He has not left me alone, for I always do the things that are pleasing to him."

For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.[2]

Do we then overthrow the law by this faith? By no means! On the contrary, we uphold the law.

So the law is holy, and the commandment is holy and righteous and good.

Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us -- for it is written, "Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree" --

Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For if a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.

Keep them and do them, for that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'

And what great nation is there, that has statutes and rules so righteous as all this law that I set before you today?

and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness from God that depends on faith --

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws into their minds, and write them on their hearts, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
