And his soul was drawn to Dinah the daughter of Jacob. He loved the young woman and spoke tenderly to her.

He also allured you out of distress into a broad place where there was no cramping, and what was set on your table was full of fatness.

Therefore the LORD waits to be gracious to you, and therefore he exalts himself to show mercy to you. For the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

And now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will remove its hedge, and it shall be devoured;[1] I will break down its wall, and it shall be trampled down.

Thus shall you say to him, Thus says the LORD: Behold, what I have built I am breaking down, and what I have planted I am plucking up -- that is, the whole land.

So I led them out of the land of Egypt and brought them into the wilderness.

"As I live, declares the Lord GOD, surely with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm and with wrath poured out I will be king over you.

lest I strip her naked and make her as in the day she was born, and make her like a wilderness, and make her like a parched land, and kill her with thirst.

All her carved images shall be beaten to pieces, all her wages shall be burned with fire, and all her idols I will lay waste, for from the fee of a prostitute she gathered them, and to the fee of a prostitute they shall return.

Writhe and groan,[2] O daughter of Zion, like a woman in labor, for now you shall go out from the city and dwell in the open country; you shall go to Babylon. There you shall be rescued; there the LORD will redeem you from the hand of your enemies.

And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all people to myself."

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

But the woman was given the two wings of the great eagle so that she might fly from the serpent into the wilderness, to the place where she is to be nourished for a time, and times, and half a time.

and the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, in which she is to be nourished for 1,260 days.

Then her husband arose and went after her, to speak kindly to her and bring her back. He had with him his servant and a couple of donkeys. And she brought him into her father's house. And when the girl's father saw him, he came with joy to meet him.
