After the death of Abraham, God blessed Isaac his son. And Isaac settled at Beer-lahai-roi.

And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing.

I will bless those who bless you, and him who dishonors you I will curse, and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."[2]

Therefore the well was called Beer-lahai-roi;[6] it lies between Kadesh and Bered.

God said, "No, but Sarah your wife shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Isaac.[6] I will establish my covenant with him as an everlasting covenant for his offspring after him.

I will surely bless you, and I will surely multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and as the sand that is on the seashore. And your offspring shall possess the gate of his[4] enemies,

The LORD has greatly blessed my master, and he has become great. He has given him flocks and herds, silver and gold, male servants and female servants, camels and donkeys.

Now Isaac had returned from Beer-lahai-roi and was dwelling in the Negeb.

And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The LORD blessed him,

Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.

And Joseph said to his brothers, "I am about to die, but God will visit you and bring you up out of this land to the land that he swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob."

His offspring will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.
