The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.

Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.

Who is the man who fears the LORD? Him will he instruct in the way that he should choose.

The friendship[1] of the LORD is for those who fear him, and he makes known to them his covenant.

Moses said to the people, "Do not fear, for God has come to test you, that the fear of him may be before you, that you may not sin."

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.

The end of the matter; all has been heard. Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.[2]

So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.

but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?

No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.

For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

He considered that God was able even to raise him from the dead, from which, figuratively speaking, he did receive him back.

Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe,

But someone will say, "You have faith and I have works." Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

And from the throne came a voice saying, "Praise our God, all you his servants, you who fear him, small and great."

And Samuel said, "Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.
