Genesis 16:2

And Sarai said to Abram, "Behold now, the LORD has prevented me from bearing children. Go in to my servant; it may be that I shall obtain children[1] by her." And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

If his master gives him a wife and she bears him sons or daughters, the wife and her children shall be her master's, and he shall go out alone.

I will bless her, and moreover, I will give[5] you a son by her. I will bless her, and she shall become nations; kings of peoples shall come from her."

The man said, "The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me fruit of the tree, and I ate."

Then Rachel said, "God has judged me, and has also heard my voice and given me a son." Therefore she called his name Dan.[3]

And the firstborn said to the younger, "Our father is old, and there is not a man on earth to come in to us after the manner of all the earth.

Now Sarai was barren; she had no child.
