Genesis 15:1

After these things the word of the LORD came to Abram in a vision: "Fear not, Abram, I am your shield; your reward shall be very great."

But Abram said, "O Lord GOD, what will you give me, for I continue[1] childless, and the heir of my house is Eliezer of Damascus?"

Then the angel of the LORD said to Elijah, "Go down with him; do not be afraid of him." So he arose and went down with him to the king

Then David said to Solomon his son, "Be strong and courageous and do it. Do not be afraid and do not be dismayed, for the LORD God, even my God, is with you. He will not leave you or forsake you, until all the work for the service of the house of the LORD is finished.

O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD! He is their help and their shield.

You are my hiding place and my shield; I hope in your word.

I cry to you, O LORD; I say, "You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living."

For you bless the righteous, O LORD; you cover him with favor as with a shield.

Mankind will say, "Surely there is a reward for the righteous; surely there is a God who judges on earth."

For the LORD God is a sun and shield; the LORD bestows favor and honor. No good thing does he withhold from those who walk uprightly.

Behold our shield, O God; look on the face of your anointed!

He will cover you with his pinions, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness is a shield and buckler.

And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.

The wicked earns deceptive wages, but one who sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

Say to those who have an anxious heart, "Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you."

Behold, the Lord GOD comes with might, and his arm rules for him; behold, his reward is with him, and his recompense before him.

fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the LORD; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.

But now thus says the LORD, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: "Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.

Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and from the west I will gather you.

Thus says the LORD who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.

Fear not, nor be afraid; have I not told you from of old and declared it? And you are my witnesses! Is there a God besides me? There is no Rock; I know not any."

"I, I am he who comforts you; who are you that you are afraid of man who dies, of the son of man who is made like grass,

But I will deliver you on that day, declares the LORD, and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

"The LORD is my portion," says my soul, "therefore I will hope in him."

In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the exiles by the Chebar canal, the heavens were opened, and I saw visions of God.[1]

And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me in the vision by the Spirit of God into Chaldea, to the exiles. Then the vision that I had seen went up from me.

And he said to me, "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with my words to them.

And he said, "Hear my words: If there is a prophet among you, I the LORD make myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.

And the LORD said to Aaron, "You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the people of Israel.

the oracle of him who hears the words of God, who sees the vision of the Almighty, falling down with his eyes uncovered:

But the angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified.

And he said to them, "Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?" Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.

But the angel said to him, "Do not be afraid, Zechariah, for your prayer has been heard, and your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you shall call his name John.

And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

"Fear not, little flock, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

And they said, "Cornelius, a centurion, an upright and God-fearing man, who is well spoken of by the whole Jewish nation, was directed by a holy angel to send for you to come to his house and to hear what you have to say."

whether Paul or Apollos or Cephas or the world or life or death or the present or the future -- all are yours,

They shall have no inheritance among their brothers; the LORD is their inheritance, as he promised them.

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the LORD your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you."

Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,

When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, "Fear not, I am the first and the last,

The LORD repay you for what you have done, and a full reward be given you by the LORD, the God of Israel, under whose wings you have come to take refuge!"

The word of the LORD came to Samuel:
