And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon in the direction of Gerar as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha.

When Abraham reproved Abimelech about a well of water that Abimelech's servants had seized,

So I said, "The thing that you are doing is not good. Ought you not to walk in the fear of our God to prevent the taunts of the nations our enemies?

The shepherds came and drove them away, but Moses stood up and saved them, and watered their flock.

It is an honor for a man to keep aloof from strife, but every fool will be quarreling.

And if a house is divided against itself, that house will not be able to stand.

for you are still of the flesh. For while there is jealousy and strife among you, are you not of the flesh and behaving only in a human way?

idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

Conduct yourselves wisely[2] toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.

so that you may live[5] properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one.

For we ourselves were once foolish, disobedient, led astray, slaves to various passions and pleasures, passing our days in malice and envy, hated by others and hating one another.

For where jealousy and selfish ambition exist, there will be disorder and every vile practice.

What causes quarrels and what causes fights among you? Is it not this, that your passions[1] are at war within you?[2]

Keep your conduct among the Gentiles honorable, so that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day of visitation.
