When Moses came down from Mount Sinai, with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand as he came down from the mountain, Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone because he had been talking with God.[4]

When the people of Israel saw it, they said to one another, "What is it?"[1] For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, "It is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat.

And he gave to Moses, when he had finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, tablets of stone, written with the finger of God.

Then Moses turned and went down from the mountain with the two tablets of the testimony in his hand, tablets that were written on both sides; on the front and on the back they were written.

the people of Israel would see the face of Moses, that the skin of Moses' face was shining. And Moses would put the veil over his face again, until he went in to speak with him.

Who is like the wise? And who knows the interpretation of a thing? A man's wisdom makes his face shine, and the hardness of his face is changed.

And he was transfigured before them, and his face shone like the sun, and his clothes became white as light.

And again he came and found them sleeping, for their eyes were very heavy, and they did not know what to answer him.

For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.

And he said to them, "Why were you looking for me? Did you not know that I must be in my Father's house?"[7]

And as he was praying, the appearance of his face was altered, and his clothing became dazzling white.

Now the man who had been healed did not know who it was, for Jesus had withdrawn, as there was a crowd in the place.

And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.

And Paul said, "I did not know, brothers, that he was the high priest, for it is written, 'You shall not speak evil of a ruler of your people.' "

And gazing at him, all who sat in the council saw that his face was like the face of an angel.

not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face so that the Israelites might not gaze at the outcome of what was being brought to an end.

Then I turned and came down from the mountain and put the tablets in the ark that I had made. And there they are, as the LORD commanded me."

But the woman had taken the two men and hidden them. And she said, "True, the men came to me, but I did not know where they were from.

And as soon as the king of Ai saw this, he and all his people, the men of the city, hurried and went out early to the appointed place[1] toward the Arabah to meet Israel in battle. But he did not know that there was an ambush against him behind the city.

In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength.

Then I saw another mighty angel coming down from heaven, wrapped in a cloud, with a rainbow over his head, and his face was like the sun, and his legs like pillars of fire.

And she said, "The Philistines are upon you, Samson!" And he awoke from his sleep and said, "I will go out as at other times and shake myself free." But he did not know that the LORD had left him.
