And the LORD came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of man had built.

My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth.

But those who seek to destroy my life shall go down into the depths of the earth;

Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings[2] and crowned him with glory and honor.

The LORD came down on Mount Sinai, to the top of the mountain. And the LORD called Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.

Who has ascended to heaven and come down? Who has gathered the wind in his fists? Who has wrapped up the waters in a garment? Who has established all the ends of the earth? What is his name, and what is his son's name? Surely you know!

Sing, O heavens, for the LORD has done it; shout, O depths of the earth; break forth into singing, O mountains, O forest, and every tree in it! For the LORD has redeemed Jacob, and will be glorified[2] in Israel.

All this is in order that no trees by the waters may grow to towering height or set their tops among the clouds, and that no trees that drink water may reach up to them in height. For they are all given over to death, to the world below, among the children of man,[3] with those who go down to the pit.

For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

Jesus said to her, "Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.' "

No one has ascended into heaven except he who descended from heaven, the Son of Man.[5]

For the bread of God is he who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world."

For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will but the will of him who sent me.

So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, "I am the bread that came down from heaven."

I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh."

This is the bread that came down from heaven, not as the fathers ate and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever."

Then what if you were to see the Son of Man ascending to where he was before?

Jesus answered, "Even if I do bear witness about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from and where I am going, but you do not know where I come from or where I am going.

You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you have crowned him with glory and honor,[1]

But we see him who for a little while was made lower than the angels, namely Jesus, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
