Curds from the herd, and milk from the flock, with fat[3] of lambs, rams of Bashan and goats, with the very finest[4] of the wheat -- and you drank foaming wine made from the blood of the grape.

and because of the abundance of milk that they give, he will eat curds, for everyone who is left in the land will eat curds and honey.

You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth -- of rams, of lambs, and of he-goats, of bulls, all of them fat beasts of Bashan.

I led them with cords of kindness,[1] with the bands of love, and I became to them as one who eases the yoke on their jaws, and I bent down to them and fed them.

"Hear this word, you cows of Bashan, who are on the mountain of Samaria, who oppress the poor, who crush the needy, who say to your husbands, 'Bring, that we may drink!'

Shepherd your people with your staff, the flock of your inheritance, who dwell alone in a forest in the midst of a garden land;[3] let them graze in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old.

All the best of the oil and all the best of the wine and of the grain, the firstfruits of what they give to the LORD, I give to you.

Because you did not serve the LORD your God with joyfulness and gladness of heart, because of the abundance of all things,

And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia.[3]
