Deuteronomy 29:6

You have not eaten bread, and you have not drunk wine or strong drink, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.

You gave them bread from heaven for their hunger and brought water for them out of the rock for their thirst, and you told them to go in to possess the land that you had sworn to give them.

"I have heard the grumbling of the people of Israel. Say to them, 'At twilight you shall eat meat, and in the morning you shall be filled with bread. Then you shall know that I am the LORD your God.' "

The people of Israel ate the manna forty years, till they came to a habitable land. They ate the manna till they came to the border of the land of Canaan.

Moreover, you have not brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards. Will you put out the eyes of these men? We will not come up."

"Take the staff, and assemble the congregation, you and Aaron your brother, and tell the rock before their eyes to yield its water. So you shall bring water out of the rock for them and give drink to the congregation and their cattle."

and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank from the spiritual Rock that followed them, and the Rock was Christ.

Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.

And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,

And the LORD our God gave him over to us, and we defeated him and his sons and all his people.

And when you came to this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon and Og the king of Bashan came out against us to battle, but we defeated them.

So the LORD our God gave into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people, and we struck him down until he had no survivor left.

And we devoted them to destruction,[1] as we did to Sihon the king of Heshbon, devoting to destruction every city, men, women, and children.

And he humbled you and let you hunger and fed you with manna, which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, that he might make you know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word[1] that comes from the mouth of the LORD.
