O LORD, I love the habitation of your house and the place where your glory dwells.

One thing have I asked of the LORD, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to inquire[3] in his temple.

But you shall seek the place that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation[1] there. There you shall go,

And you shall offer the Passover sacrifice to the LORD your God, from the flock or the herd, at the place that the LORD will choose, to make his name dwell there.

and ministers in the name of the LORD his God, like all his fellow Levites who stand to minister there before the LORD,

The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.

shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight,[1] not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you;[2] not for shameful gain, but eagerly;
