Joseph was thirty years old when he entered the service of Pharaoh king of Egypt. And Joseph went out from the presence of Pharaoh and went through all the land of Egypt.

Then the king commanded that the magicians, the enchanters, the sorcerers, and the Chaldeans be summoned to tell the king his dreams. So they came in and stood before the king.

Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews.

Then the magicians, the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers came in, and I told them the dream, but they could not make known to me its interpretation.

There is a man in your kingdom in whom is the spirit of the holy gods.[4] In the days of your father, light and understanding and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods were found in him, and King Nebuchadnezzar, your father -- your father the king -- made him chief of the magicians, enchanters, Chaldeans, and astrologers,

The king called loudly to bring in the enchanters, the Chaldeans, and the astrologers. The king declared[2] to the wise men of Babylon, "Whoever reads this writing, and shows me its interpretation, shall be clothed with purple and have a chain of gold around his neck and shall be the third ruler in the kingdom."

In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, by descent a Mede, who was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans --

And Moses was instructed in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and he was mighty in his words and deeds.

so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.[1]

Then he said to Zebah and Zalmunna, "Where are the men whom you killed at Tabor?" They answered, "As you are, so were they. Every one of them resembled the son of a king."
