Colossians 1:6

which has come to you, as indeed in the whole world it is bearing fruit and growing -- as it also does among you, since the day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth,

Your people will offer themselves freely on the day of your power,[1] in holy garments;[2] from the womb of the morning, the dew of your youth will be yours.[3]

He has remembered his steadfast love and faithfulness to the house of Israel. All the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God.

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[2] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

And he said to them, "Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.

And other seeds fell into good soil and produced grain, growing up and increasing and yielding thirtyfold and sixtyfold and a hundredfold."

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.

And for their sake I consecrate myself,[3] that they also may be sanctified[4] in truth.

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.

When they heard these things they fell silent. And they glorified God, saying, "Then to the Gentiles also God has granted repentance that leads to life."

But the word of God increased and multiplied.

One who heard us was a woman named Lydia, from the city of Thyatira, a seller of purple goods, who was a worshiper of God. The Lord opened her heart to pay attention to what was said by Paul.

to open their eyes, so that they may turn from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.'

I want you to know, brothers,[2] that I have often intended to come to you (but thus far have been prevented), in order that I may reap some harvest among you as well as among the rest of the Gentiles.

by the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit of God -- so that from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum I have fulfilled the ministry of the gospel of Christ;

When therefore I have completed this and have delivered to them what has been collected,[2] I will leave for Spain by way of you.

but has now been disclosed and through the prophetic writings has been made known to all nations, according to the command of the eternal God, to bring about the obedience of faith --

For we are not overextending ourselves, as though we did not reach you. We were the first to come all the way to you with the gospel of Christ.

Working together with him, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain.

assuming that you have heard of the stewardship of God's grace that was given to me for you,

assuming that you have heard about him and were taught in him, as the truth is in Jesus,

and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds,

(for the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true),

filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that increases to your credit.[3]

so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

if indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation[7] under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.

And we also thank God constantly[4] for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.

But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits[4] to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth.

By Silvanus, a faithful brother as I regard him, I have written briefly to you, exhorting and declaring that this is the true grace of God. Stand firm in it.
