Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen."[6]
He lived there two whole years at his own expense,[7] and welcomed all who came to him,
"Do not think that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.
Do you think that I have come to give peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division.
When they heard these words, some of the people said, "This really is the Prophet."
And disagreeing among themselves, they departed after Paul had made one statement: "The Holy Spirit was right in saying to your fathers through Isaiah the prophet:
