About the ninth hour of the day[1] he saw clearly in a vision an angel of God come in and say to him, "Cornelius."

Now Peter and John were going up to the temple at the hour of prayer, the ninth hour.[1]

But during the night an angel of the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out, and said,

Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation?

having become as much superior to angels as the name he has inherited is more excellent than theirs.

For this very night there stood before me an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I worship,

And he told us how he had seen the angel stand in his house and say, 'Send to Joppa and bring Simon who is called Peter;

And Cornelius said, "Four days ago, about this hour, I was praying in my house at the ninth hour,[3] and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing

And while Peter was pondering the vision, the Spirit said to him, "Behold, three men are looking for you.

Now while Peter was inwardly perplexed as to what the vision that he had seen might mean, behold, the men who were sent by Cornelius, having made inquiry for Simon's house, stood at the gate

Now there was a disciple at Damascus named Ananias. The Lord said to him in a vision, "Ananias." And he said, "Here I am, Lord."

And falling to the ground he heard a voice saying to him, "Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?"

And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,

And there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, "Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?" that is, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

For the sake of my servant Jacob, and Israel my chosen, I call you by your name, I name you, though you do not know me.

And the LORD said to Moses, "This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name."

Evening and morning and at noon I utter my complaint and moan, and he hears my voice.

The next day, as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the housetop about the sixth hour[2] to pray.
