After this Paul[1] left Athens and went to Corinth.

Crispus, the ruler of the synagogue, believed in the Lord, together with his entire household. And many of the Corinthians hearing Paul believed and were baptized.

And having sent into Macedonia two of his helpers, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

And sailing from there we came the following day opposite Chios; the next day we touched at Samos; and[1] the day after that we went to Miletus.

Now from Miletus he sent to Ephesus and called the elders of the church to come to him.

Sopater of Berea, the son of Pyrrhus from Berea, accompanied him; and of the Thessalonians, Aristarchus and Secundus; and Gaius of Derbe, and Timothy; and the Asians, Tychicus and Trophimus.

For they had previously seen Trophimus the Ephesian with him in the city, and they supposed that Paul had brought him into the temple.

Gaius, who is host to me and to the whole church, greets you. Erastus, the city treasurer, and our brother Quartus, greet you.[6]
