And David built there an altar to the LORD and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD responded to the plea for the land, and the plague was averted from Israel.

Then the LORD appeared to Abram and said, "To your offspring I will give this land." So he built there an altar to the LORD, who had appeared to him.

Then Gideon built an altar there to the LORD and called it, The LORD is Peace. To this day it still stands at Ophrah, which belongs to the Abiezrites.

So Saul said, "Bring the burnt offering here to me, and the peace offerings." And he offered the burnt offering.

And Saul built an altar to the LORD; it was the first altar that he built to the LORD.

Then he would return to Ramah, for his home was there, and there also he judged Israel. And he built there an altar to the LORD.

So Samuel took a nursing lamb and offered it as a whole burnt offering to the LORD. And Samuel cried out to the LORD for Israel, and the LORD answered him.
