"Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may count the money that has been brought into the house of the LORD, which the keepers of the threshold have collected from the people.

Jehoash said to the priests, "All the money of the holy things that is brought into the house of the LORD, the money for which each man is assessed -- the money from the assessment of persons -- and the money that a man's heart prompts him to bring into the house of the LORD,

let the priests take, each from his donor, and let them repair the house wherever any need of repairs is discovered."

And when they called for the king, there came out to them Eliakim the son of Hilkiah, who was over the household, and Shebnah the secretary, and Joah the son of Asaph, the recorder.

The gatekeepers, Akkub, Talmon and their brothers, who kept watch at the gates, were 172.

For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
