They came to Hilkiah the high priest and gave him the money that had been brought into the house of God, which the Levites, the keepers of the threshold, had collected from Manasseh and Ephraim and from all the remnant of Israel and from all Judah and Benjamin and from the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

And listen to the pleas of your servant and of your people Israel, when they pray toward this place. And listen from heaven your dwelling place, and when you hear, forgive.

You are good and do good; teach me your statutes.

Good and upright is the LORD; therefore he instructs sinners in the way.

Your steadfast love, O LORD, extends to the heavens, your faithfulness to the clouds.

For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in steadfast love to all who call upon you.

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive. O Lord, pay attention and act. Delay not, for your own sake, O my God, because your city and your people are called by your name."

And when Moses heard that, he approved.

"If the man who is unclean does not cleanse himself, that person shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, since he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD. Because the water for impurity has not been thrown on him, he is unclean.

And those men said to him, "We are unclean through touching a dead body. Why are we kept from bringing the LORD's offering at its appointed time among the people of Israel?"

Let a person examine himself, then, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God[1] will give him life -- to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.
