And so I intend to build a house for the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD said to David my father, 'Your son, whom I will set on your throne in your place, shall build the house for my name.'

Solomon was building his own house thirteen years, and he finished his entire house.

But the LORD said to David my father, 'Whereas it was in your heart to build a house for my name, you did well that it was in your heart.

Now the LORD has fulfilled his promise that he made. For I have risen in the place of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and I have built the house for the name of the LORD, the God of Israel.

As soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD and the king's house and all that Solomon desired to build,

He shall build a house for my name. He shall be my son, and I will be his father, and I will establish his royal throne in Israel forever.'

They imported a chariot from Egypt for 600 shekels[2] of silver, and a horse for 150. Likewise through them these were exported to all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Syria.

Hiram also said, "Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who made heaven and earth, who has given King David a wise son, who has discretion and understanding, who will build a temple for the LORD and a royal palace for himself.

then to the place that the LORD your God will choose, to make his name dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings and your sacrifices, your tithes and the contribution that you present, and all your finest vow offerings that you vow to the LORD.

But you shall seek the place that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation[1] there. There you shall go,

"If you are not careful to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that you may fear this glorious and awesome name, the LORD your God,
