And Eli said, "What was it that he told you? Do not hide it from me. May God do so to you and more also if you hide anything from me of all that he told you."

Belteshazzar answered and said, "My lord, may the dream be for those who hate you and its interpretation for your enemies!

Should this be said, O house of Jacob? Has the LORD grown impatient?[2] Are these his deeds? Do not my words do good to him who walks uprightly?

And he came to him, and behold, he was standing beside his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said to him, "What has the LORD spoken?"

But Jesus remained silent. And the high priest said to him, "I adjure you by the living God, tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."

Where you die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the LORD do so to me and more also if anything but death parts me from you."

And Saul said, "God do so to me and more also; you shall surely die, Jonathan."

But Eli called Samuel and said, "Samuel, my son." And he said, "Here I am."
