And that first strike, which Jonathan and his armor-bearer made, killed about twenty men within as it were half a furrow's length in an acre[3] of land.

And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin looked, and behold, the multitude was dispersing here and there.[4]

As Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to attack Israel. But the LORD thundered with a mighty sound that day against the Philistines and threw them into confusion, and they were routed before Israel.
