When the child grew up, she brought him to Pharaoh's daughter, and he became her son. She named him Moses,[2] "Because," she said, "I drew him out of the water."
And the angel of the LORD said to her, "Behold, you are pregnant and shall bear a son. You shall call his name Ishmael,[3] because the LORD has listened to your affliction.
and called his name Noah, saying, "Out of the ground that the LORD has cursed this one shall bring us relief[4] from our work and from the painful toil of our hands."
And Adam knew his wife again, and she bore a son and called his name Seth, for she said, "God has appointed[7] for me another offspring instead of Abel, for Cain killed him."
Jabez called upon the God of Israel, saying, "Oh that you would bless me and enlarge my border, and that your hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from harm[3] so that it might not bring me pain!" And God granted what he asked.
