All your commandments are sure; they persecute me with falsehood; help me!

Let not those rejoice over me who are wrongfully my foes, and let not those wink the eye who hate me without cause.

But my foes are vigorous, they are mighty, and many are those who hate me wrongfully.

More in number than the hairs of my head are those who hate me without cause; mighty are those who would destroy me, those who attack me with lies. What I did not steal must I now restore?

We want you to know, brothers,[1] about the grace of God that has been given among the churches of Macedonia,

which is why I suffer as I do. But I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed, and I am convinced that he is able to guard until that Day what has been entrusted to me.[3]

Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshipers, having once been cleansed, would no longer have any consciousness of sin?

For what credit is it if, when you sin and are beaten for it, you endure? But if when you do good and suffer for it you endure, this is a gracious thing in the sight of God.

But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler.
