And the two worthless men came in and sat opposite him. And the worthless men brought a charge against Naboth in the presence of the people, saying, "Naboth cursed God and the king." So they took him outside the city and stoned him to death with stones.

Then they sent to Jezebel, saying, "Naboth has been stoned; he is dead."

Elisha was sitting in his house, and the elders were sitting with him. A worthless witness mocks at justice, and the mouth of the wicked devours iniquity.

A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who breathes out lies will not escape.

A man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow.

And they began to accuse him, saying, "We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king."

From then on Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, "If you release this man, you are not Caesar's friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar."

For we have found this man a plague, one who stirs up riots among all the Jews throughout the world and is a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

Then they secretly instigated men who said, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God."

You shall stone him to death with stones, because he sought to draw you away from the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.
