therefore behold, I will bring harm upon the house of Jeroboam and will cut off from Jeroboam every male, both bond and free in Israel, and will burn up the house of Jeroboam, as a man burns up dung until it is all gone.

And this thing became sin to the house of Jeroboam, so as to cut it off and to destroy it from the face of the earth.

Is a trumpet blown in a city, and the people are not afraid? Does disaster come to a city, unless the LORD has done it?

I will bring distress on mankind, so that they shall walk like the blind, because they have sinned against the LORD; their blood shall be poured out like dust, and their flesh like dung.

Behold, I will rebuke your offspring,[1] and spread dung on your faces, the dung of your offerings, and you shall be taken away with it.[2]

For the LORD will vindicate[7] his people and have compassion on his servants, when he sees that their power is gone and there is none remaining, bond or free.

Therefore the LORD the God of Israel declares: 'I promised that your house and the house of your father should go in and out before me forever,' but now the LORD declares: 'Far be it from me, for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

God do so to the enemies of David[2] and more also, if by morning I leave so much as one male of all who belong to him."

For as surely as the LORD the God of Israel lives, who has restrained me from hurting you, unless you had hurried and come to meet me, truly by morning there had not been left to Nabal so much as one male."
