But because of the temptation to sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife and each woman her own husband.

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the LORD.

House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the LORD.

But you say, "Why does he not?" Because the LORD was witness between you and the wife of your youth, to whom you have been faithless, though she is your companion and your wife by covenant.

But I say to you that everyone who divorces his wife, except on the ground of sexual immorality, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin[5] a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body.

Now concerning the matters about which you wrote: "It is good for a man not to have sexual relations with a woman."

The husband should give to his wife her conjugal rights, and likewise the wife to her husband.

But if they cannot exercise self-control, they should marry. For it is better to marry than to be aflame with passion.

In the same way husbands should love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.

However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

that each one of you know how to control his own body[4] in holiness and honor,

who forbid marriage and require abstinence from foods that God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

And when their fathers or their brothers come to complain to us, we will say to them, 'Grant them graciously to us, because we did not take for each man of them his wife in battle, neither did you give them to them, else you would now be guilty.' "
