1 Corinthians 5:5

you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord.[1]

And the LORD said to Satan, "Behold, he is in your hand; only spare his life."

Appoint a wicked man against him; let an accuser stand at his right hand.

If you strike him with the rod, you will save his soul from Sheol.

But if the priest examines it and there is no white hair in it and it is not deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall shut him up seven days.

God judges[2] those outside. "Purge the evil person from among you."

being ready to punish every disobedience, when your obedience is complete.

So to keep me from being too elated by the surpassing greatness of the revelations,[1] a thorn was given me in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to harass me, to keep me from being too elated.

For this reason I write these things while I am away from you, that when I come I may not have to be severe in my use of the authority that the Lord has given me for building up and not for tearing down.

And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.

among whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme.

may the Lord grant him to find mercy from the Lord on that Day! -- and you well know all the service he rendered at Ephesus.

waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

If anyone sees his brother committing a sin not leading to death, he shall ask, and God[1] will give him life -- to those who commit sins that do not lead to death. There is sin that leads to death; I do not say that one should pray for that.
