If I ascend the heavens, there, thou art! If I spread out hades as my couch, behold thee!
and said—I cried—out of my distress—unto Yahweh, and he answered me,—Out of the belly of hades, called I, Thou didst hear my voice.
Though thou build high like an eagle, and though, among the stars, thou set thy nest, from thence, will I bring thee down, Declareth Yahweh.
Hades and destruction, are before Yahweh, how much more then, the hearts of the sons of men.
Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction;
Can any hide himself in secret places that I, shall not see him? Demandeth Yahweh,—The heavens and the earth, do I not fill? Demandeth Yahweh.
