And so it was that they who died in the plague were fourteen thousand and seven hundred,—besides them who died over the matter of Korah.
Then was it found that they who had died by the plague were four and twenty thousand.
Beware, lest ye excuse yourselves from him that speaketh; for, if, they escaped not, who excused themselves from him who on earth was warning, how much less, shall, we, who from him that warneth from the heavens, do turn ourselves away:
So Yahweh laid pestilence, upon Israel,—and there fell, of Israel, seventy thousand men.
Neither be ye murmuring, even, as some of them, murmured, and perished by the destroyer.
they died—the men who gave out an evil rumor of the land,—by the plague, before Yahweh.
thus did he take his stand between the dead and the living,—and the plague was restrained.
And Aaron returned unto Moses, unto the entrance of the tent of meeting,—when, the plague, had been restrained.
