Ye have heard, that it was said, to them of olden time,—Thou shalt not commit murder, and, whosoever shall commit murder, shall be, liable, to judgment.

Ye have heard, that it was said,—Eye for eye, and tooth for tooth.

So shall the cities serve you for places of refuge from the redeemer,—that the manslayer may not die, until he has stood before the assembly, for judgment,

Whosoever is hating his brother, is, a murderer; and ye know that, no murderer, hath life age-during, within him abiding.
