My back, gave I to smiters, and My cheeks, to them who pulled out the beard,—My face, hid I not from insult and spitting.

Then, spat they into his face, and buffeted him; and, others, struck him smartly,

and were striking him on the head with a reed, and were spitting at him,—and, bowing their knees, were doing him homage.

Thus, saith Yahweh—the Redeemer of Israel, his Holy One To him that is despised of the soul, To the abhorred of the nation To the servant of rulers, Kings, shall see and arise, Princes, lo! they have bowed themselves down,—Because of Yahweh, who is faithful, The Holy One of Israel, lo! he hath chosen thee.

And they will mock him, and spit upon him, and scourge him, and, slay;—and, after three days, will he, arise.

And some began to be spitting at him, and, covering up his face, and to be buffeting him, and saying to him—Prophesy! And, the attendants, with smart blows, took him.
