And he began to be speaking unto them, in parables,—A man planted, a vineyard, and put round it a wall, and digged a wine-vat, and built a tower,—and let it out to husbandmen; and left home.
As a man from home—having left his house, and given his servants the authority, to each one, his work,—and, unto the porter, hath given command, that he should watch:—
The same, is he that came to be in the assembly in the desert, with the messenger who was speaking with him in Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, he who welcomed living utterances, to give unto us:
And, after not many days, the younger son, gathering all together, left home for a country far away, and, there, squandered his substance with riotous living.
And, he, said—Unto you, hath it been given, to get to know the sacred secrets of the kingdom of God; but, unto the rest, in parables,—in order that, seeing, they may not see, and, hearing, they may not understand.
Yet, I, planted thee a precious vine, a wholly true seed,—How then didst thou change thyself towards me, into the degenerate plantings of the alien vine?
And it shall some to pass in that day, that, every place wherein there used to be a thousand vines at a thousand pieces of silver,—yea, even for briars and thorns, shall it be.
Another parable, hear ye:—A man there was, a householder, who planted a vineyard, and, a wall around it, placed, and digged in it a wine-vat, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen,—and left home.
