And the Scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying—Who is this that speaketh profanities? Who can forgive, sins, save, God alone?

I—I, am he that is ready, To wipe out thy transgressions for mine own sake,—And, thy sins, not remember.

The Jews answered him—Concerning a noble work, are we not stoning thee; but concerning profane speech,—and because, thou, being, a man, art making thyself, God.

And they who were reclining together, began to be saying within themselves—Who is, this, that, even forgiveth sins?

Then, the High-priest rent asunder his garments, saying—He hath spoken profanely! What further need have we, of witnesses? Lo! now, ye have heard the profanity!

My sin, would I own unto thee, and, mine iniquity, not hide, I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Yahweh, And, thou, didst forgive the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

And, he that contemptuously uttereth the name of Yahweh, shall be, surely put to death, all the assembly shall, surely stone, him,—as the sojourner so the home-born, when he contemptuously-uttereth the Name, he shall be put to death.

Who shall bring an accusation against the chosen ones of God? God, who declareth righteous?

O Lord, hear! O Lord, forgive! O Lord, hearken and perform! Do not delay! For thine own sake, O my God, because, thine own name, hath been called, upon thy city, and upon thy people.

To the Lord our God, belong compassions, and forgivenesses,—for we have rebelled against him;

O Israel, thou shalt not be forgotten of me, I have wiped out, As with a thick cloud, thy transgressions, And as with a broad cloud, thy sins,—Return unto me, for I have redeemed thee.

Come, I pray you, and let us settle the disputer Saith Yahweh,—Though your sins be found like scarlet, As snow, shall they be made white, Though they appear red like crimson, As wool, shall they become.

But, with thee, is forgiveness, that thou mayest be revered.

Who forgiveth all thine iniquity, Who healeth all thy diseases;

And it came to pass, on one of the days, that, he, was teaching, and there were sitting Pharisees and Teachers of the law, who had come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and Jerusalem; and, the power of the Lord, was there, that he might heal.

And lo! certain of the scribes, said within themselves,—This man, speaketh profanely!

He will again have compassion upon us, he will subdue our iniquities,—Thou wilt cast—into the depths of the sea—all their sins.

Let them be as chaff before the wind, with, the messenger of Yahweh, pressing them on:

Bring forth, therefore, fruits worthy of repentance, and do not begin to be saying within yourselves, As our father, we have, Abraham; for, I say unto you—God is able, out of these stones, to raise up children unto Abraham.

And Jesus, taking note of their reasonings, answering, said unto them—Why are ye reasoning in your hearts?
