For we have heard how Yahweh, dried up, the waters of the Red Sea from before you, when ye came forth out of Egypt,—and what ye did unto the two kings of the Amorites who were over the Jordan unto Sihon and unto Og, whom ye devoted to destruction;

But Sihon king of Heshbon, was not willing, to let us pass along through it,—for Yahweh thy God had suffered him to make his spirit harsh and his heart bold, that he might give him into thy hand—(as appeareth this day).

GOD having brought them forth out of Egypt, The very horns of the buffalo, are his:

Thou, didst cleave open fountain and torrent, Thou, didst dry up rivers of steady flow:

and all that he had done unto the two kings of the Amorites who were over the Jordan,—unto Sihon, king of Heshbon, and unto Og, king of Bashan, who was in Ashtaroth.

And I sent before you the hornet, which drave them out from before you, the two kings of the Amorites,—not with thy sword, nor with thy bow.
