For Issachar, came out the fourth lot,—for the sons of Issachar, by their families.

This, is the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun, by their families,—these cities, with their villages.

And their boundary was,—Jezreel and Chesulloth, and Shunem,

And on the boundary of Simeon from the east side unto the west side, Issachar one.

The sons of Leah, the firstborn of Jacob, Reuben,—And Simeon and Levi and Judah, and Issachar and Zebulon:

Issachar, an ass of strength,—couching between the pens;

Nevertheless by lot, shall the land be apportioned,—by the names of the tribes of their fathers, shall they inherit.

Jehoshaphat son of Paruah, in Issachar;

Of the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand, of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand, of the tribe of Issachar, twelve thousand,
