Now therefore, accursed, art thou,—from the ground which hath opened her mouth, to receive the shed-blood of thy brother at thy hand.

For, as many as are of works of law, are, under a curse,—for it is written—Accursed, is everyone that continueth not in all things that are written in the book of the law to do them.

O earth! do not cover my blood, and let there be no place for mine outcry.

Then said Yahweh God unto the serpent—Because thou hast done this, Accursed, art thou above every tame-beast, and above every wild-beast of the field,—on thy belly, shall thou go, and dust, shalt thou eat all the days of thy life.

and he called his name Noah saying,—This, one shall give us rest from our work, And from the grievous toil of our hands, By reason of the ground which Yahweh hath cursed,
