Now, the serpent, was more crafty than any living thing of the field which Yahweh God had made, so he said unto the woman, Can it really be that God hath said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

But I fear lest, by any means, as, the serpent, completely deceived Eve, in his craftiness, your minds should be corrupted from the singleness and the chasteness which are due unto the Christ.

And no marvel! for, Satan himself, doth transfigure himself into a messenger of light!

For, if the one should fall, the other would raise up his companion,—but alas! for him who is alone when he falleth, with no second to raise him up!

and said to him, All these things, will I give thee,—if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Ye husbands, in like manner, dwelling with them according to knowledge,—as unto a weaker vessel, unto the female vessel , assigning honour, as joint—inheritors also of life’s favour,—to the end that unhindered may be, your prayers.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth, after the woman, water as a river, that he might cause her to be carried away by the stream.
