Put on, therefore, as men chosen of God, holy and beloved, tender affections of compassion, graciousness, lowliness of mind, meekness, long-suffering,

For, thus, saith he that is high and lifted up—Inhabiting futurity, And, holy, is his name: A high and holy place, will I inhabit, Also with the crushed and lowly in spirit, To revive the spirit of the lowly, and To revive the heart of them who are crushed;—

May he guide patient wronged-ones to be righted, and teach such oppressed-ones his way.

Wherefore, putting away all filthiness and overflow of baseness, in meekness, welcome ye the word fitted for inward growth, which is able to save your souls:

In meekness, bringing under discipline them that oppose themselves, lest at any time God should give them repentance unto a personal knowledge of truth,

Now, such as these, we charge and exhort in the Lord Jesus Christ,—that, with quietness, working, their own bread, they be eating.

Happy, the meek; for, they, shall inherit the earth:

And again shall the humbled in Yahweh, have joy,—And the needy of mankind in the Holy One of Israel, exult;

For Yahweh is taking pleasure in his people, He will beautify humbled ones with victory.

Yahweh, relieveth the humbled! casting the lawless down to the earth.

Of this taking note—that, our old man, was crucified together with him in order that the sinful body might be made powerless, that we should, no longer, be in servitude to sin;

And he said unto them—Ye, are they who justify themselves before men, but, God, knoweth your hearts; because, that which amongst men is lofty, is an abomination before God.

Lo! faithfulness, hast thou desired in the inward parts, Yea, in the hidden part, wilt thou cause me to know, wisdom.

All glorious—the daughter of a king sitteth within, Brocades, wrought with gold, are her clothing!

Having been regenerated—Not out of corruptible seed, but incorruptible—through means of the word of a Living and Abiding God;

For ye have died, and, your life, is hid, together with the Christ, in God,—

meekness, self-control;—against such things as these, there is no law.

Surely I have soothed and silenced my soul,—like a weaned child, concerning his mother, like a weaned child, concerning myself—mine own soul.
