All my inward friends abhor me: And they whom I loved are turned against me.
My kinsfolk have failed, And my familiar friends have forgotten me.
Even young children despise me; If I arise, they speak against me.
For now ye are nothing; Ye see a terror, and are afraid
My lovers and my friends stand aloof from my plague; And my kinsmen stand afar off.
But thou, O LORD, have mercy upon me, and raise me up, That I may requite them.
Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted, which did eat of my bread, Hath lifted up his heel against me.
He hath put forth his hands against such as were at peace with him: He hath profaned his covenant.
Thou hast put mine acquaintance far from me; Thou hast made me an abomination unto them: I am shut up, and I cannot come forth.
