He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, And shall cast off his flower as the olive.

He cometh forth like a flower, and is cut down: He fleeth also as a shadow, and continueth not.

The fear of the LORD prolongeth days: But the years of the wicked shall be shortened.

The land mourneth and languisheth: Lebanon is ashamed and withereth away: Sharon is like a desert; and Bashan and Carmel shake off their leaves.
