(Which wise men have told From their fathers, and have not hid it;
With us are both the grayheaded and the very aged men, Much elder than thy father.
I will shew thee, hear thou me; And that which I have seen I will declare:
Unto whom alone the land was given, And no stranger passed among them:)
Knowest thou not this of old time, Since man was placed upon earth,
For inquire, I pray thee, of the former age, And apply thyself to that which their fathers have searched out:
Yea, even when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; Until I have declared thy strength unto the next generation, Thy might to every one that is to come.
The living, the living, he shall praise thee, as I do this day: the father to the children shall make known thy truth.
