If a man sin against his neighbour, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and he come and swear before thine altar in this house:

I prevented the dawning of the morning, and cried: I hoped in thy words.

But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Bow down thine ear unto me; deliver me speedily: Be thou to me a strong rock, an house of defence to save me.

Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; According to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to death;

Be merciful unto me, O Lord; For unto thee do I cry all the day long.

Yea, when I cry and call for help, he shutteth out my prayer.
