After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

And thou, Solomon my son, know thou the God of thy father, and serve him with a perfect heart and with a willing mind: for the LORD searcheth all hearts, and understandeth all the imaginations of the thoughts: if thou seek him, he will be found of thee; but if thou forsake him, he will cast thee off for ever.

then hear thou from heaven thy dwelling place, and forgive, and render unto every man according to all his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, even thou only, knowest the hearts of the children of men;)

If thou wert pure and upright; Surely now he would awake for thee, And make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: The generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, And to them that are upright in their hearts.

But thou, O LORD, art a shield about me; My glory, and the lifter up of mine head.

For the LORD God is a sun and a shield: The LORD will give grace and glory: No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.

For our shield belongeth unto the LORD; And our king to the Holy One of Israel.

They that are perverse in heart are an abomination to the LORD: But such as are perfect in their way are his delight.

For the upright shall dwell in the land, And the perfect shall remain in it.

Whoso walketh uprightly shall be delivered: But he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once.

But, O LORD of hosts, that judgest righteously, that triest the reins and the heart, let me see thy vengeance on them: for unto thee have I revealed my cause.

I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings.
