Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And forgettest our affliction and our oppression?
Wherefore hidest thou thy face, And holdest me for thine enemy?
And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: For they are a very froward generation, Children in whom is no faith.
Forget not the voice of thine adversaries: The tumult of those that rise up against thee ascendeth continually.
O deliver not the soul of thy turtle-dove unto the wild beast: Forget not the life of thy poor for ever.
I will say unto God my rock, Why hast thou forgotten me? Why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?
How long, O LORD, wilt thou forget me for ever? How long wilt thou hide thy face from me?
He saith in his heart, God hath forgotten: He hideth his face; he will never see it.
Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? Why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?
Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgement, Even unto my cause, my God and my Lord.
Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of the LORD; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Art thou not it that cut Rahab in pieces, that pierced the dragon?
