Depart from me, ye evil-doers; That I may keep the commandments of my God.

Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render thank offerings unto thee.

Again, ye have heard that it was said to them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths:

and this, not as we had hoped, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us by the will of God.

And the people answered and said, God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods;
